Are you ready to swap the city noise for the roar of twin waterfalls and the mystical clouds of Mount Hambaricho? We are heading on an epic 3 day journey through the heart of the Kembata highlands! From camping on the edge of a 210 meter drop to conquering the legendary 777 stairs, this is the escape your soul has been craving.
Here is the plan for our unforgettable weekend
Day 1: Addis Ababa to Ajora twin Falls (320 km)
Drive from Addis Ababa via the Butajira road.
The journey to Ajora Falls takes approximately 7-8 hours depending on stops.
1st night Camping Set up in front of the falls for the night.
Day 2: Ajora to Mount Hambaricho ( 50 km)
Travel from the falls toward Durame/Mount Hambaricho.
Explore and hike the Saro Bira landscape on the morning .
Drive to durame town and Hike. Climb the 🏔️ 777 x 2 stairs to reach the summit of Mount Hambaricho.
Cultural Event: Enjoy the welcoming ceremony and cultural lunch at Hambaricho mountain .
Camping: Stay overnight at the mountain (777 🏔️ x2 ) .
Day 3: Return to Addis Ababa (310 km)
Descend the mountain and begin the drive back to the Addis Ababa .
The return trip usually takes about 6–7 hours.
