Join Queer PoC Miami and filmmaker Isa Hussain for the screening of his short film, get off the floor!, followed by a community panel!
About this Event

Get off the floor! is a pro-shark, anti-capitalist absurdist short film engaging questions of labor, environmental, and housing exploitation pushed by the web connecting Miami developers, American capitalists, and shark fishermen.

Also screening will be “Sea Levels Are Rising In Miami, Turning Little Haiti Into Hot Property“ by Al-Jazeera+.

These screenings will be followed by a panel of Miami-based researchers and community activists engaging with the system of overdevelopment, gentrification, and environmental mismanagement taking place all over Dade County on land as well as in the water.
