Explore Haw River State Park - Iron Ore Belt Access (north of Greensboro), on this almost 4-mile hike on the Great Blue Heron Trail. Enjoy views of wetlands rich in flora and fauna while meandering through piedmont oak-hickory forests. The trail is rolling and natural surface - so expect some roots, rocks, possibly muddy spots, etc. There is a small fee for this hike - $5/person.Don't want to drive there yourself? Catch a ride in the van! Limited spots available for $5/person leaving from Burlington City Park. If you want transportation, be sure to register for both the hike AND transportation seperately.
All ages are welcome. Minors are to be accompanied by an adult.
