REBELLE har sørget for svette dansegulv i Oslo i snart 3 år. Trioen bestående av MissFusion, ANNA og DJ KAZI kom sammen om sin kjærlighet for dancehall og blander et bredt spekter av sjangre i sine sets - alle med én fellesnevner - musikk som får deg til å wanna bruk out & go down low.
Vår motivasjon er å inkludere, inspirere og å skape rom for mangfold gjennom musikken vi spiller. Denne kvelden blir ingen unntak, med sexy wining, badman-tunes og 2000s dancehall throwbacks.
PURE JAMAICAN VYBZ (@purejamaicanvybz)
PJV er en dancehall camp som arrangeres årlig i Oslo. Hovedmålet er å formidle kunnskap om dancehall-kulturen direkte fra Jamaicanske dansere. Disse er pionerer innenfor sjangeren og de mest innflytelsesrike innenfor feltet. Hvis du er danseglad og følger med på TikTok-trender, har du garantert danset noen av stegene til disse danserne. I år har campen vokst til 150 deltagere, og er dermed Skandinavias største dancehall-camp med mange tilreisende fra andre land.

The Jamaican Oslo-based DJ and MC we all know and love will take us from the @gamlabeatbar backyard all the way to the streetparties in Kingston where the music and dancing never stops! Natty P is taking a well deserved break from touring alongside Nico D to serve us not only an unforgettable night, but also delicious Jamaican food during the @purejamaicanvybz days. DJ KIKI (@djmisskiki)
DJ Kiki started DJing when she lived in Sweden. Since she moved to Norway, she has been setting dancefloors in the city on fire wherever she plays. She is behind “Beats Yard Oslo” and loves to mix afrobeats, amapiano, dancehall, latin and urban. Kiki has previously warmed up for big artists like Kranium, Tiwa Savage, Diamond Platnumz, Gee Dixon and Omah Lay. Expect great vibes with Kiki behind the decks on the stage inside.

Dancehall er en subkultur, en livsstil og en musikksjanger som har sine røtter i reggae-musikken. Den energiske og uttrykksfulle stilen ble til på gatefestene i Jamaicas hovedstad Kingston. Helt siden 80-tallet har dancehall spredd seg mer og mer på verdensbasis og fått godt fotfeste i andre urbane kulturer. Dansestilen er dynamisk, leken og fri, og du har helt sikkert selv vært med på en “pon di river”, “go go wine” eller “willie bounce”.

REBELLE has been heating up dance floors in Oslo for almost 3 years. The trio consisting of MissFusion, ANNA, and DJ KAZI united in their love for dancehall and blends a wide range of genres in their sets - all with one common denominator - music that makes you wanna bruk out & go down low. “Our motivation is to include, inspire, and create space for diversity through the music we play.” This evening will be no exception, with sexy wining, badman tunes, and 2000s dancehall throwbacks.

PJV is a dancehall camp held annually in Oslo. The main goal is to convey knowledge about dancehall culture directly from Jamaican dancers. These are pioneers in the genre and the most influential in the field. If you love dancing and follow TikTok trends, you've definitely danced some of their steps. ABOUT DANCEHALL
Dancehall is a subculture, a lifestyle, and a music genre rooted in reggae music. The energetic and expressive style originated at street parties in Jamaica's capital, Kingston. Since the 80s, dancehall has spread more and more worldwide and gained a strong foothold in other urban cultures. The dance style is dynamic, playful, and free, and you've surely been a part of "pon di river", "go go wine" or "willie bounce".
