2026 Free German Language Classes.The Frankenmuth Sister City Committee is continuing the free German language classes in 2026. Anyone interested in learning some German for fun or travel should consider joining the group. We are encouraging absolute beginners to give it a try, as the classes will begin again with the basics. The Committee is offering an informal opportunity beginning on Wednesday, January 21st, for anyone looking to learn German. The free community lessons are geared toward those new to German, up to those with an intermediate language understanding. Additional dates for 2026 include Feb. 18th, March 18th, and April 15th at 7 pm at the City Training Center, 210 N. Franklin, just north of the Public Safety Building.
The purpose of the classes, scheduled to run monthly, are to build excitement and language understanding in advance of the scheduled 2027 Sister City trip to Gunzenhausen, tentatively planned for July 2 through July 4, 2027. You need not attend all or even the majority of the classes to participate.
