Dr. Scott Kaufman will discuss Gerald Ford's history and legacy as well as his unique friendship with his successor Jimmy Carter
Dr. Kaufman is professor of History and a Board of Trustees Research Scholar at Francis Marion University in South Carolina where he has taught since 2001. He is the author co-author or editor of twelve books including A Companion to Gerald R. Ford and Jimmy Carter (2015) and Ambition Pragmatism and Party: A Political Biography of Gerald R. Ford (2017). He is currently working on two books: a history of impeachment in the United States and a comparative history of the Panama and Suez Canals.
