Georgia has always been at the crossroads of civilizations, connecting Europe and Asia both geographically and culturally. Throughout history, this small Caucasian country has been a meeting point of empires, trade routes, and diverse cultures, shaping its rich heritage and resilient identity. Even today, Georgia remains at the center of regional geopolitics, reflecting its historic role as a strategic bridge between continents.
To this day, Georgians people continue to stand against empires and fight by various means for freedom and democracy.
From the homeland of winemaking to shaping modern protest culture, Georgia stands out in many ways. More than hundred days of consecutive street protests may mark a historical record, as demonstrators blocked the main street of the capital city every single day for 110 days already. The main demands are fair elections, restoring the country’s pro-European path, and ending the oppression of protesters.
