Georgia Tech ME 2110 Design Competition: Summer 2026
About this Event
Join us for the ME2110 Competition on Friday July 27, 2026.
The theme of this summer's competition is Jurassic World. InGen has once again experienced operational and public affairs setbacks. Because human field response has been deemed too hazardous, ME 2110 students have designed and built fully autonomous robots to handle containment response.
Dinosaurs are loose, park guests are stranded in disabled gyrospheres at risk of attack by stray raptors, and biological assets must be returned to their incubators. As a final challenge, teams must hoist a beacon as high as possible in order to allow the location of escaped dinosaurs to be triangulated.
The competition will start with an in-person design review event, where students will present their designs to a panel of rotating judges - you! This will be followed by a competition in which teams will deploy their automated systems to perform tasks, score points, and try to save InGen from a fate worse than death: bankruptcy.
The design review will be held in the Manufacturing Related Disciplines Complex (801 Ferst Dr, Atlanta, GA 30332).
