Yn gerddor o Aberystwyth, mae Georgia Ruth wedi hen arfer gweu ei dylanwadau gwerinol i greu seinweddau unigryw. Enillodd ei halbwm cyntaf, 'Week of Pines', y Wobr Gerddoriaeth Gymreig yn 2013, yn ogystal â chyrraedd dwy o restrau fer Gwobrau Gwerin BBC2.Wedi iddi gydweithio â'r Manic Street Preachers, aeth Georgia ymlaen i ryddhau ei hail a'i thrydydd albwm, 'Fossil Scale' a 'Mai', cyn rhyddhau dwy EP ychwanegol.
'Cool Head' yw pedwerydd albwm Georgia, ac mae'n cyfleu'r hyn a disgrifia Georgia fel "taith hir drwy’r nos i’r bore". Mae 'Cool Head', ymadrodd byddai ei thad yn ei ddweud yn aml, yn gasgliad didwyll o ganeuon sy'n plethu dylanwadau sy'n ymestyn o Americana i faledi nodedig y 60au.
Wedi’i recordio yn stiwdio Sain, mae’r albwm yn cynnwys cyfraniadau gan Iwan Huws (Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog), Stephen Black (Sweet Baboo), Gwion Llewelyn (Aldous Harding), a Rhodri Brooks (Melin Melyn). Mae hefyd yn gweld llais unigryw Euros Childs (Gorky's Zygotic Mynci) yn ymddangos ar ambell i drac yn ogystal â threfniadau llinynnol Gruff ab Arwel. Enwebwyd yr albym ar gyfer y Wobr Gerddoriaeth Gymreig eleni.
Yn y sioe yma, bydd Georgia’n chwarae’r albwm lawn gyda’r band lawn, gan gynnwys yr offerynwyr llinynnol er mwyn dod ag awyrgylch y record arbennig yma i Abertawe.

Georgia Ruth is a musician from Aberystwyth. Using folk influences to create a truly unique sound, her debut album Week of Pines won the Welsh Music Prize in 2013 and was nominated for two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
Georgia also collaborated with Manic Street Preachers on their Futurology album (reaching #2 in the Official UK Album Charts.)
2024 saw the release of Georgia’s fourth studio album – Cool Head. Taking its name from a phrase her dad would always use to urge calm thinking, the album presents a candid and affecting collection of songs, spanning wide-open Americana to 60s-influenced folk ballads. Georgia describes it as “a long drive through night into morning”.
Recorded in Sain studios, near Caernarfon, the album features contributions by Iwan Huws (Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog), Stephen Black (Sweet Baboo), Gwion Llewelyn (Aldous Harding), and Rhodri Brooks (Melin Melyn). With Gorky's Zygotic Mynci stalwart Euros Childs adding his unmistakable vocals to a couple of songs, this is a truly Welsh affair. It also features string arrangements by Gruff Ab Arwel, whose ear for melody brings a new dimension to the songs. The album was nominated for this year’s Welsh Music Prize.
In this one-off show, Georgia will be playing the full album with a full band, including strings players in order to bring the atmosphere of this very special record to Swansea.
