Georgetown University Dance Company Spring 2026 Dance Concert: "Eclipse"

Running time: 1 hour and 30 minutes (includes a 10 minute intermission).

Synopsis:

Georgetown University Dance Company is excited to present our Spring 2026 Dance Concert, “Eclipse.” “Eclipse” explores how change, time, and reflection shape who we are, much like the meeting of light and shadow during an actual eclipse. It represents the pause between what was and what’s next, symbolizing a moment of transformation that reminds us every ending is just a new beginning.

The performance will feature dances in a variety of styles including contemporary ballet, high energy commercial jazz, contemporary modern, and funky fusion styles. The show features 8 original student works, as well as pieces by GUDC’s 2025- 2026 Professional Guest Artists-in-Residence, Christian Denice and Christopher Saunders. The show will also include a full company piece choreographed by GUDC's Faculty Artistic Director, Professor Raina Lucas, in collaboration with student members.

Ticket Prices: $6.00 for Tickets

Please purchase tickets in advance using the Eventbrite link. All ticket purchases are cashless and must be completed online via Eventbrite. Doors for this event will open approximately 15 minutes before the show. Please arrive to claim your tickets/seats no later than 7:25pm. Purchase of a ticket does not guarantee you entry if you are late! In the event the showing is sold out, you are welcome to join the Eventbrite virtual waitlist to be notified should a ticket become available for purchase.

Didn't get a ticket but really want to attend the show? Get on the standby list by first joining our Eventbrite virtual waitlist (required for the cashless purchase) and then putting your name down on the in-person standby list at the box office which will open one hour before the show. At 7:25 p.m., we will release any unclaimed tickets for purchase to patrons on the standby list in the order they signed up at the box office. Please note that being on the standby list does not guarantee you a ticket, as availability is based on the number of available seats.

Parking:

Street parking is available or patrons may park (for a fee) in the Leavey Center (entrance on Reservoir Road) or SWQ parking facilities (enter via Canal Road).
