Experience Sam Weisman's delightfully silly 1997 family adventure that swings into action with Tarzan parody perfection. When sophisticated San Francisco heiress Ursula Stanhope gets lost in the African jungle, she's rescued by George, a lovably dim but incredibly strong jungle man who's more likely to crash into trees than swing gracefully through them.
Brendan Fraser brings perfect physical comedy and childlike enthusiasm to George, creating a character who's simultaneously heroic and hilariously inept. Leslie Mann shines as Ursula, torn between her uptight fiancé back home and this wonderfully unconventional jungle king who speaks to elephants and counts them among his best friends.
Weisman's energetic direction captures the spirit of Jay Ward's classic cartoon with live-action slapstick that never feels mean-spirited.
