Rocks Ain't Dead but tell many stories, if you know their language. From fiery beginnings to eons of weathering and deposition, rocks record a fascinating tale of time, pressure, deformation and mineral wealth.
Join us for a full day geological adventure and workshop to learn how to ID rocks, to understand basic geological principles, various rock minerals, fossilization and much more. There will be a hands-on interaction with a variety of rocks and minerals, as well as a short guided walk in the reserve.
The workshop will also explore the fascinating geology of the Western Cape and Great Karoo, investigating the various rock strata and formations and what their names means.
The workshop will include a coffee/tea break with something delectable.
Cost : R450 / person (Includes entrance fee to reserve and hiring of the lecture hall)
