We'll be celebrating and educating residents on the importance of geographic information systems, otherwise known as GIS, on Nov. 20 through a series of interactive experiences!Join us at the Morgan Family Community Center, 6207 W Price Blvd, from 2-6 p.m. to learn about how GIS brings innovation to North Port.
GIS programs are part of every day life, whether it's checking traffic, finding your garbage day or looking at this weekend's weather. For City staff, it's also vital for daily work. From police drone operations, to gopher tortoise sightings or mapping new development, GIS is part of more than one would think.
Casa de Uruguay food truck will also be on site as well, so attendees can grab a bite to eat!
