Generation Women Canada - January 21, 2027
About this Event
Generation Women is a multigenerational storytelling series featuring six women or non-binary storytellers — one in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s+ — each sharing an original true story on a theme. Our diverse line-ups will make you laugh, cry, and look forward to every age of your life. Founded in New York City in 2017 by Georgia Clark, Generation Women exists to amplify underheard voices and create space for intergenerational connection and community. All are welcome to join us.
Our theme: COLD HARD CASH - Stories about money
Everyone says money can't buy happiness. Funny how nobody says it doesn't buy options.
Money decides who gets to leave. Who gets to stay. Who gets heard. Who gets taken seriously. It starts arguments, ends marriages, creates opportunity, exposes inequality, and has a way of showing us exactly what we value.
Our storytellers are sharing stories about asking for more, settling for less, making spectacular financial mistakes, building wealth from scratch, losing everything, and discovering that self-worth and net worth have a complicated relationship.
For women especially, money has never just been currency—it's been independence, bargaining power, and freedom.
Join us for a night of stories that are equal parts uncomfortable, hilarious, infuriating, and empowering. Because if we're going to change the conversation about money, we have to start by actually having one.
