Monthly reggae disco in North-East London. The night is named after sadly departed MC Earl Anthony Robinson, the voice behind classic deejay tunes such as "Drunken Master".For our March session we're excited to have a return visit from the great Gabby Ochoa.
Originally from Ecuador, now living in sunny Scotland, Gabby is a record and memorabilia collector specialised in vintage Jamaican music from the 60s and 70s. She says: "My love for these sounds started when I was a teenager and I’ve never looked back since then. During this time, I’ve developed both my knowledge and own style, with a soft spot for Coxsone and Sonia Pottinger productions, which you’ll see reflected in my selection. You usually find me on the other side of the decks, dancing and singing along. Now I’m thrilled to share the music I love with all the Jamaican music enthusiasts at General Echo. Expect from me sweet tunes, killer tunes, party tunes.. Classic and rare, to keep you dancing all night long!"
Come and listen to some of the greatest music ever made in a beautiful old school social club.
