About this Event
With new online access to historical family records, increasing numbers of hobbyists are searching to locate and record their ancestors’ history. Genealogy experts Bonnie Bohnet and Carol Bosworth, of the Gardner-based Central Massachusetts Genealogical Society, are offering a free Introductory Genealogy Workshop at the Fitchburg Historical Society on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 10 a.m. to noon. This is a hands-on workshop for anyone interested in learning more about researching their family’s history. Attendees are requested to bring some questions and names about their own family; and Bohnet and Bosworth will help you find some answers as part of the learning experience.
Participants will need to bring a laptop computer or a smartphone to use during the workshop, to use in exploring on-line genealogy resources. If you do not have either one available, contact the Fitchburg Historical Society in advance, to see if they can make one of theirs available to you.
Because this free program will offer individualized help, the workshop is available to only a limited number of participants: register in advance by calling 978-345-1157, emailing [email protected] or on Eventbrite.
