A global ambassador of Chicago house music sound, Gene Farris has contributed to the evolving house and techno culture of this century. He started spinning vinyl- Acid House, Disco and the classic Chicago style of his peers. Inspired by Lil’ Louis, Gene developed a unique sound at a young age. In the early 90’s, he played the legendary underground warehouse parties in Chicago and has DJed in over 42 countries around the globe that solidified his career behind the decks. In 1994 Gene hit the studio with a profound sense of innovation and audio brilliance. As a self-taught engineer and producer Gene Farris has put out 7 albums and over 200 releases in a 30-year span and shows no signs of slowing down.
Gene Farris is the true definition of legend & we are incredibly stoked to welcoming him to the Green Mountains for a very special edition of SUNDAY SESSIONS, happening in downtown Burlington @ RED SQUARE + Sunday, August 16th 2026!!

PSST…! || FOUNDATIONS OF FUNK (BROOKLYN, N.Y.C.)
30 years deep DJ, invasive New Yorker, Milwaukee born, and Brooklyn based Foos was raised on the wild Raves of the Great Lakes in the mid 90s. The Acid Bangers, Funky House, and Soulful Techno sound of MKE/Madison, Chicago, and Detroit are still the foundation of his wide-ranging sound, and influences. In '96 he moved to Savannah GA for Art School and started DJing and throwing parties with like minds from all over the US and beyond. Many raving/record shopping trips to Atlanta, seeing fav artists like Paul Johnson, Jeff Mills, John Acquaviva, The Orb, and a few impactful years at WMC in Miami, where DJ Harvey, Dubtribe, Mark Farina, and so many more left a huge impact in styles and sounds.
A "temporary" move to NYC in 2000 led to working at Satellite records, throwing/playing many parties, growing and refining his sound. While playing an East Village dance-bar, he was approached to be the local resident at the hot/new club LOVE, for a party with James Curd from Chicago, bringing Foos-favorites like Derrick Carter, Gene Farris, Honey Dijon, Joshua etc. This sparked a 2nd Love party in his now more Psychedelic-Sleaze, Cosmic Disco, and NY No-Wave influenced dance music, & featuring such selectors as the Wicked Crew's Jeno, DJ Buck and Anthony Mansfield. Meanwhile forming a new party crew at Harvey's All-Night Rong parties, and David Mancuso's LOFT. This led to the Almond Brothers forming, and parties with Tony Humpries, DJ Spun, Justin Vandervolgen, and opening for more favas like KZA, and Maurice Fulton. A Beats in Space invite, tours to Berlin. Munich, and Tel Aviv etc. and 8 years of Dirt Raving with Disco Knights family at the burn. He's currently doing a Sundown, hug-chug, Weatherall/AFLOS inspired monthly with fellow vibe-maker Thomas Indilla. PSSST...! & it’s happening on the First Thursday of every month in Brooklyn... Come have dance!

FOUNDATIONS OF FUNK || PSSST…! - (BROOKLYN, N.Y.C.)
Thomas Indilla is a Brooklyn DJ who knows how to chug as well as disco the night away, his music selection spans the length of the Presidential Range. He came up through the ALFOS end of things, where the house never knowingly breaks 122bpm and the point is the slow burn, not the drop. Then earned some stripes cutting across the Swampy parts of Hector, NY.
A fixture in the Sullivan County underground. A regular behind the decks at F.O.F (Foundation of Funk) in Jeffersonville, NY. You can also catch him and his amigo, Foos, the first Thursday of every month in Willy Burg, NY at their community dance party PSSST...! (People Sharing Special Sounds Together), or local favs like Good Bar and Radio Star.
