Gendered Identities - A Free Workshop For The LGBTQ Community
Hey there! Join us in person for a laid-back creative writing workshop all about exploring and celebrating gendered identities within the LGBTQ community. Whether you're curious, questioning, or just want to connect with others, this is the perfect space for you. Dive into open conversations, fun activities, and supportive vibes. Don't miss out on this awesome chance to learn and grow together!
Led by well-known writer, performer and artist, Claire Beerjeraz, this 2-hour creative writing workshop organised as part of the month of transgender identity focuses on exploring and articulating lived experience in relation to LGBT+ identity. Through structured writing prompts, participants will be invited to reflect on personal perspectives, everyday experiences, and inherited narratives, and consider how these sit alongside wider historical contexts. The session will also consider gender and sexuality as performative acts as well as authentic and grounded identities. Open to participants with all levels of writing experience.
