Creating an Art-filled Creative Sketchbookwith Artist, Janet Vedder
Thursday, October 23rd & 30th from 6:00pm-8:00pm
Learn new techniques to create an art-filled creative sketchbook. Using a Gelli Plate, we will learn the process of creating monoprints. You will prepare your sketchbook paper with a variety of inks, then, fold and cut your paper to create a sketchbook. Your Gelli Plate prints will create covers, embellish, and enhance your sketchbook. Your sketchbook will be transformed into an amazing work of art!
Students should bring a variety of leaves, botanicals, and other items that can be used to create images in the prints. All other materials needed for the class will be supplied. Please feel free to bring a beverage or something to snack on.
Janet Nye Vedder has experience as a graphic artist, product illustrator, and art educator. With a Masters in Education and twenty-two years of experience teaching art, she looks forward to teaching a variety of art classes on the Roycroft Campus.
As a Roycroft Artist-in-Residence, Janet currently has a studio in the Roycroft Print Shop where she creates her artwork. Janet works primarily in watercolor and Chinese brush painting; however, she has a strong background in fiber arts and collage.

Registration is required and seating is limited (Max. of 12 students)
This workshop is open to those ages 16 - adult
