Gel Plate Printing Workshop
About this Event
An experimental and playful workshop suitable for beginners, with artist Jo Bramall.
We will explore the versatility of gel plate printing using a variety of stencils, mark-making tools and layering to create papers full of texture, colour and tonal contrast.
Participants will create a collection of unique printed papers. These can be enjoyed as artworks in themselves or be used in the afternoon collage course.
All materials will be provided but feel free to bring along any papers, paints or mark-making tools you’d like to use. I will be bringing along florals and foliage for you to use but you may like to bring something from your own garden.
Please consider bringing an apron or clothing you don’t mind getting paint on.
Minimum age 8 years, however children under 16 years must be accompanied by a participating adult .
Limited Places. Maximum 6 participants.
The workshop will start promptly at 10.00am. Arrivals from 9.30am onwards.
Please bring a light liquid refreshment with you. At the time of publishing, we are awaiting confirmation whether the Peacock Cafe at the Jackfield Tile Museum will be open or an alternative refreshment cart will be situated in the courtyard.
