About the speakers:

Joelle Wellington grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where her childhood was spent wandering the main branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. Her love of the written word led her to a BA in creative writing and international studies. When she isn’t writing, she’s reading and when she’s not doing that, she’s attempting to bake bread with varying degrees of success or strengthening her encyclopedia-like pop culture knowledge. She’s the author of Their Vicious Games, The Blonde Dies First, and Girls Who Play Dead.

Ryan La Sala is a bestselling and award-winning author known for his genre-defying, queer-centered horror and fantasy, including The Honeys, which is in development to become a major motion picture, and The Dead of Summer duology. He is also the author of , and . He has been featured in , , , and more. He writes to you from New York, overseen by his cat, Haunted Little Girl.

Taylor Grothe (AKA T.G. Laine) is a writer of adult and young adult horror, horror romance, and dark fantasy. They hold a nonfiction MFA from Fairfield University, acted as the graduate Assistant Managing Editor of Brevity, and their short works can be found in esteemed publications such as These Dreaming Spires (Titan Books), Brevity's craft blog, Haven Speculative, and Shortwave Magazine. They are a scholar of medieval literature and Nordic Saga. They live with their family in New England, and on the rare occasion they're not writing, they can be found playing: with the cats, on the cello, or in costume.

Taylor is the author of the YA books Hollow and Monstrous Beautiful Things (Peachtree Teen), as well as adult books Lethal Kiss (Tor Nightfire/Tor UK) and The Mage and the Liar Knight (Little, Brown).

Saskia Nislow is a writer, ceramicist, and psychoanalytic training candidate based in Brooklyn, NY. They are the author of Root Rot (Creature Press, 2025).

Dre R. Spooky is a Horror Bookstagrammer and event host residing in NYC. When Dre isn’t feverishly moving thru his TBR, he’s an actor (I know…groundbreaking). Broadway: Diana The Musical. Off Broadway: House of Telescopes. Event Host: Queer To Tell. TV/Film: Diana The Musical (Netflix), Law and Order (NBC), The Queens Project (Youtube). Instagram: @Drereadsspooky
