About this Event
This small‑group GCSE masterclass is designed to help students feel calmer, more confident, and genuinely prepared for their exams. Limited to 20 students, the session creates a focused, supportive environment where everyone is seen and able to engage.
Led by Dr Nick Cartwright, National Teaching Fellow and specialist in assessment and learning design, the workshop blends compassionate teaching with clear, evidence‑based revision strategies. Students learn how to build a realistic revision plan, use past papers effectively, manage stress, and make good decisions in the final weeks before exams.
The atmosphere is calm, practical, and reassuring — perfect for students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start. Everyone leaves with a simple structure they can use immediately and a renewed sense of control over their revision.
What Students Will Leave With
Students leave this session with a simple, realistic revision plan they can use immediately, a clear sense of what to prioritise, and practical strategies for using past papers effectively. They also gain tools for managing stress and overwhelm, along with renewed confidence and motivation for the weeks ahead.
Why This Works
This workshop is built on proven principles from cognitive psychology, inclusive pedagogy, and wellbeing science. The small‑group format creates a calm, focused environment where students can think clearly, ask questions, and build strategies that genuinely stick. It’s a humane, evidence‑based approach designed to support both performance and wellbeing.
Who This Is Perfect For
This session is ideal for students who feel overwhelmed, behind, or unsure where to start; students who struggle to organise their revision; students who benefit from a quieter, calmer space; and students who want to improve but don’t know how to make the most of the time they have left.
What Makes This Different
This is not a generic revision talk. With a maximum of 20 students, the session offers a calm, supportive atmosphere where everyone is seen. It’s led by a National Teaching Fellow and grounded in evidence‑based study strategy, wellbeing, and inclusive teaching. Students leave with a personalised plan and a clear sense of control over their revision.
Accessibility & Inclusion
This workshop is designed to be inclusive and accessible. If your child has any additional needs or would benefit from adjustments to feel comfortable and able to participate fully, please get in touch - we’re happy to help.
