The Gulf Coast Runners Youth Team invites all area youth from Kindergarten up to 8th grade to join GCR for the 2026 Winter/Spring Off Season Track Session 1. Registration is open now!
Session 1 will be from January 26th to March 4th and will be on most Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning at 5:30pm at the Naples High School Track. This session will focus on specific track and field events including the 100m, 200m, 400m which is 1 lap around the track, 800m is 2 laps, the 1 mile, relays for middle school and the long jump.
Children will be separated by current grades in the 2025/2026 school year:
-Lower Elementary is Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
-Upper Elementary is 3rd grade through 5th grade.
-Middle School is 6th grade through 8th grade.
Team jerseys are provided free for those signing up for the FIRST time in the 2025-26 school year. It is the same uniform issued to runners from the previous 2025 Fall XC Session.

Session 2 will begin after CCPS Spring Break on March 16th. That will be another registration which will open at a later time.
Tentatively scheduled in April will be the GCR Youth State Qualifier Track and Field Meet. Entry will be free for all registered GCR Youth Team members. This gives our runners a chance to qualify for the State competition.
