GCC Presents: Considering Matthew Shepard

On Saturday, November 21st at 7:30 p.m., GCC will be performing Considering Matthew Shepard by acclaimed American conductor Craig Hella Johnson. This Grammy-nominated, three-part concert-length fusion oratorio was Johnson’s musical response to the 1998 murder of a young gay man. Considering Matthew Shepard invites us to explore a perspective of shared humanity and ultimately of hope. Featuring a wide variety of musical styles from Country to Classical and Musical Theatre to the Blues, we anticipate this piece will intrigue audiences on many different levels.
Tickets are $20 at the door and students are free!
