This talk will explore the career of Gaëtane Verna, a curator, art historian, and arts leader, tracing her work across curatorial practice, institutional leadership, and international engagement. Drawing on her experience as Executive Director of the Wexner Center for the Arts at The Ohio State University (2022–2025) and her decade as Director and Artistic Director of The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery in Toronto (2012–2022), Verna will reflect on leading multidisciplinary arts institutions. The discussion will also highlight her earlier roles at the Musée d’art de Joliette and Bishop’s University, her work as an educator, curator, and writer, and her recent international projects, including curating the Canada Pavilion at the 60th Venice Biennale in 2024. Presented in both French and English, the talks underscore Verna’s deep commitment to Francophone culture and bilingual exchange.Registration is free, and we appreciate you signing up to help us plan and track attendance.
