FLORAL IMAGE - These psychedelic pop troubadours from the third-eye of Norwich have a sound that has been likened to a reincarnation of the summer sun, spun into a perpetual party twilight. They harness the noise and drive of early 70’s psychedelic titans Hawkwind - with a bright helping of neo-psych acts such as King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Tame Impala - whilst still incorporating an acid house groove underneath their bright and luscious melodies.CHUBABY - Through social commentary and surrealist modern storytelling, Chubaby draws us into a weird and wonderful world - one of amorous cats, ennui-inducing bar jobs, mullets and ‘cis white male jazz’. Chu’s lyrics weave dextrously around a collage of synth pop, folk, post-punk, and funk nastiness, drawing on a DIY tradition: Sly Stone meets Pavement by way of Melbourne and Manchester.
LIFEJACKET - Buoyant music for turbulent times; such is the mission statement that drives Lifejacket. Bringing cacophonous beats, fuzz-laden riffle and soaring melodies - while channelling the likes of Amyl and the Sniffers, Soft Play and FIDLAR - Lifejacket are mixing up a fiery concoction with lots of heart and plenty of tongue (of the in-cheek variety), and they’re serving up the finest slices of pop-thrash-angst-punk since the dawn of time. Or at least since Nirvana broke up.
TARYN EVERDEEN - Split between the cities of Norwich and Paris, Taryn Everdeen is a singer-songwriter who found a musical home in the open mic scene. Taryn's music uses minimal instrumentation, accompanied by guitar and a shimmer of autoharp, drawing the listener's attention to her wistful melodies and hauntingly soft vocals. She performs with a gentleness and vulnerability that mesmerises audiences, an ever-present melancholy running throughout, but always punctuated with notes of hope. Pulling inspiration from the work of Kate Bush, AURORA, and Keaton Henson, listeners can hear an echo of their influences in Taryn’s lyrics, melodies, and even her way of existing on stage.
