This double bill is sure to make your heart beat faster! Luck / Unluck brings together two of the three artists in residence of Gauthier Dance, but above all, it’s a programme that promises to leave a lasting gut punch. The choreographic duo is based on a striking contrast and playful tension – with poetic justice! After volunteering for the deadly sin of sloth in The Seven Sins, Aszure Barton now takes on the theme of luck. Hofesh Shechter is going to the tackle the Unluck counterpart. A choice that is bound to let the imagination of many dance lovers run wild. After all, Shechter's dark, visually stunning style sets the right mood for exploring misfortune.
Nevertheless, both artists in residence are definitely in „Luck“. They will not only create at Theaterhaus Stuttgart, but also at one of the most idyllic places in the world, the Orsolina 28 Art Foundation. After the last residency, the company can hardly wait to return to this dance paradise.
