Gator Day of Service

Overview

Join the Windy City Gators for Gator Day of Service in Chicago — an opportunity to come together, give back, and make a meaningful impact in our local community.

This year, we’ll be volunteering with Cradles to Crayons at their Giving Factory, supporting their mission to provide essential items to children in need across Chicagoland. This hands-on experience allows you to see the direct impact of your time and effort.

What to Expect
Work alongside fellow Gators as you sort, inspect, and package donations for local children. The shift includes a brief orientation and concludes with a group wrap-up sharing the collective impact of your work.

What to Wear
Closed-toe shoes and comfortable, layered clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory
2500 W. Bradley Place, Chicago, IL

Parking: Free parking available (follow signage to the back near Elite Baseball Training/Windy City Ninjas).
Public Transit: Accessible via Addison (152), Irving Park (80), and Western (49) bus lines.
Accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible.

After Party
Keep the Gator spirit going! Join us at Burning Bush Brewery at 4:00 PM — just a short walk or drive from the Giving Factory. All ages welcome.

This is more than a volunteer shift—it’s a chance to connect with fellow alumni, give back, and show what it means to be a Gator in Chicago.
