This month our book is The Runaway Pastor's Wife, by Diane Moody.What could possibly drive a pastor's wife to run away from home?
While Annie is deeply in love with her husband, she is just worn out by the hypocrisy of his parishioners. They ridicule his decisions, they demand all his time, and they are even giving her children difficulty. She must get away from it all. So, she leaves without telling her family and flies to Colorado to stay at her college friend's cabin in the woods. Trying to get in touch with her feelings, she finds she is angry at God for allowing the problems in her life to happen.
Now snowed in with a badly sprained ankle, she is surprised when an injured man shows up at her door. She's even more surprised when she discovers it's her college boyfriend, Michael Dean, a man who broke her heart. What could God have planned for her? As she nurses Michael, will she find the answers she is seeking or end up even more confused?
