Gathering Walk: A Workshop with CL Young (7/11)

With deep attention to external surroundings and internal experiencing, participants will gather found materials and sensory impressions during a gently guided walk by James Castle House Resident CL Young through the neighborhood where James Castle lived and worked.
These gathered materials will be brought back into the studio and explored further through a series of artmaking experiments and investigations.
In addition to the materials found on the walk, there will be paper, glue, tape, string, etc., available in the studio. Participants are also invited to bring their own preferred writing, drawing, or expression materials, as well as any existing found objects or materials they'd like to work with.
Participants should wear sturdy shoes and clothing that allows for movement.
Water, sunscreen, and anything else needed in order to be comfortable walking outside for an hour or so are also encouraged.
