GATHERING OF THE UMMAH; Congregational Asar Prayer + Potluck Dinner

Assalamualaikum, everyone!
We are excited to welcome you back to our Masjid As Salam for another “GATHERING OF THE UMMAH: Congregational Asar Prayer + Potluck Dinner" event on Saturday, 08/15/2026. Here is the event timeline from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM;
~ 4:00 PM - Potluck dinner and socializing begin
~ 5:30 PM - Congregational Asar Prayer. Continue socializing.
~ 6:30 PM - Group clean-up and conclusion of the event.
To ensure this gathering is a success, we encourage our congregation to share the blessings bestowed by Allah SWT by providing food —such as noodle dishes, rice dishes, chicken dishes, fish dishes, vegetarian dishes, pasta salads, beverages, assorted fresh fruits or other food and beverage items—sufficient for 8 to 10 attendees. "A man asked the Prophet, 'What Islamic traits are the best?' The Prophet said, 'Feed the people, and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not know'" (Hadith Bukhari, narrated by Abdullah bin Amr (RA)).

We also ask everyone to PLEASE help with cleanup duties so that this task does not fall on just one or two people.
