This engaging daylong meditation retreat is rooted in svadhyaya or self study, self reflection.

Reflective Journaling
Nectar (amrita or ambrosia) symbolizes spiritual nourishment.
This nectar can be inner knowing or inner wisdom which is gleaned from introspection.
Nectar signifies the essential sustenance for the soul.
As you Gather Nectar you gain insights into your true nature.
This daylong retreat offers space to rest, ways to connect and a pathway home through your inner wilderness.
🌳🧘🏻♀️🌳There will be both sitting and walking meditation practices.
Lovingkindness and Mindful Self Compassion Guided Meditations.
🌸🌷🌸We will cocreate a nature mandala together using locally grown Kentucky flowers. This will be our moving meditation, our prayer and our portal.
🎋We will flow through a gentle nourishing Qigong practice with Brian.
🪨🌱🤏🏼There will be stone balancing with river rocks as well as earthen art- clay sculpting.
🪇✨We will enjoy a delicious sound healing session facilitated by Kendra.
👣🌳🗿Together we will saunter through the wilderness to The Stones.
🌀Once there we will participate in some sacred geomancy exercises of perception and attunement.
📗There will be ample time for reflective journaling woven through our day as well as space to rest.
No meditation or qigong experience necessary! All of the modalities are beginner friendly!
Retreatants are asked to bring a bag lunch!
Refrigerator, freezer, stove and microwave are available for use.
Throughout the day there will be hot tea, refreshments and light fare offered such as fruit, croissants, veggies, dips, cheese, crackers and sweet treats.
Things to bring:
yoga mat
meditation cushion or pillow
light shawl or blanket
items which are empowering
for you such as crystals, feathers
sacred totems or malas
a journal and writing utensil
cover-toed shoes for our hike
This retreat will be both indoors and outdoors.

About your guide:
Jenny Bell is a poet, aspiring heart healer and earth artist. She is a Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness Meditation instructor offering classes and retreats throughout our community for the last decade. She has received the latest most comprehensive training in Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness-based in the most contemporary research, Mindfulness Meditation Certification with David Treleaven.
She is a mindful self compassion mentor and has received direct teachings from Thupten Jinpa- HHDL's personal translator of 30+ years. She has also received Cultivating Compassion Training twice as created by Thupten Jinpa and Stanford University.
Her offerings are born where spirituality and creativitv intersect
She is an embodied conscious space holder, an earth steward, grounding in ceremony, ritual and eco-centric practices.
She is an intuitive energy healer and reiki practitioner, training most recently in Healing With Resonant Attention.
She teaches Sacred Calligraphy, Earth Reverence, Honoring + Offering as Ritual and is an ephemeral botanical creatress.
She has created intricate earth altars and nature mandalas for family celebrations, festivals, retreats, women's groups and many nonprofits including Bernheim Forest!
Jenny is a horse lover and isalso trained in equine assisted therapy. Most days you will find her in the wilderness creating nature mandalas.
About our Guest Facilitators:
Kendra Sadler is a Louisville-based Yogi, Earth Advocate, Sound Practitioner, Co-Creator, and Community Builder. Her offerings are crafted with an eye toward self-exploration, devotion, earth reverence, and overall wellbeing.
She is passionate about sharing the magic of Sound, cultivating containers of profound relaxation pulsing with the vibrations of Chinese wind gong, Himalayan brass singing bowls, noise makers, and more. She is dedicated to exploring and honoring the roots of Classical Raja-Hatha Yoga and sharing her expression of the practice with the Louisville community.
Brian Martin is a retired Registered Nurse. He holds a Doctor of Education in higher education and adult learning. He is a certified Lee Holden Qigong instructor and practitioner. Brian has received attunement as a Reiki master. He is a Buddhist and shares his home with two dogs, a cat, and a goldfish.
