About this Event

Please note that there is a limit of two tickets per person. This measure is in place to promote a more equitable ticket purchasing experience for everyone.

Gather at the Gallery is a monthly event presented specifically for the 55+ community. There will be opportunities to express your own creativity through a variety of hands on workshops, meet artists and hear their stories, or preview new exhibitions.

The Class:

Nimira Parpia is the teacher behind Nurture Yoga. Her sessions at the gallery will focus on low-impact stretching for healthy bodies.

There will be two Yoga sessions. You may attend either or both!

2:00-2:45 Chair Yoga

These exercises can be done standing or seated. This session is designed to be accessible to everyone. You will not have to get onto the ground.

3:00-3:45 Slow and Mindful Yoga

This session will focus on slow progression through movements. This session will include poses on the floor.

Please note that this event will take place in the Shantz Gallery during open hours, and there may be other visitors travelling through the space.

Equipment:
You must bring your own mat for either session.

If you do not have your own mat, please email [email protected] on or before July 29, so we can arrange for someone to bring a spare.

If you have a spare mat and are willing to share, please bring it along!

You are welcome to bring your own blanket as knee cushioning or as a cover up in shavasana.

You may bring blocks for support. Chairs will be available.
