Gather & Graze: A Charcuterie & Wine Workshop

Have you ever wondered about why certain items pair better with others when you are putting together your charcuterie boards? Step into the charm of Life’s Patina while gathering under the eaves of our historic bank barn, surrounded by the rustic elegance of our storied spaces, while you learn charcuterie secrets from local expert, Lindsy from Johnson Charcuterie Artistry.

Lindsy will guide you through the secrets to balancing flavors, layering textures, and arranging a board as lovely as it is delicious. Accompanied by her signature pink cart filled with a gorgeous selection of cheeses, meats, jams, and accoutrements, guests will have the opportunity to browse, sample, and personally select the ingredients to then assemble their own take-home board wrapped in earth-friendly packaging. As you build your 9” x 6” charcuterie board, Lindsy will share her expertise on what makes a board truly stand out—from the essential components and important nuances of cheese, to achieving the perfect balance of sweet and savory. She’ll also highlight the local farms she partners with to source the finest cheeses and demonstrate how to slice various cheeses, craft elegant salami roses and prosciutto rivers, and prepare fruit in a way that turns your board into a work of art.

Like every Life’s Patina workshop, this hands-on experience is not just about assembling a board—it’s about storytelling through food, embracing creativity, and celebrating the beauty of intentional entertaining. During the workshop, guests will enjoy sipping on a glass of wine and/or our signature flavored waters while nibbling on a sweet treat from the Life’s Patina Mercantile and Café. And of course, shopping will be available! We’ve curated a unique collection of items to peruse that will help you perfect your future charcuterie boards.
