A shorter approx 4 mile long route at Longstone Edge, this is a particularly beautiful location for gate training. Pause to practice on a variety of accessible gates with support from your guide. Enjoy panoramic views towards Eyam and Curbar edge, or catch a glimpse of Chatsworth house with commanding views down into the valley whilst others in the group take their turn. This route is entirely off road.
Worth noting:
Access is via a narrow single track road and parking is in roadside laybys. As such it is most suitable for trailers and compact horseboxes. Access may be possible for larger vehicles, but please get in touch for more info before booking.
On sections of byway it is possible off road vehicles may share the route.
Some livestock (cows and sheep) may be encountered along the route.
Sections of the route may be stony with tracks hardcore finished.
There is a short section with reduced width and height due to hedge overgrowth.
All riders must have their own Public liability insurance. Under 18s are welcome but on a first visit must be accompanied on the ride by an adult. Group sizes are limited to 6+guide.
