Many people have unwanted firearms and have no trusted place to discard them without turning them back out into the market. Participants will be given gas gift cards for turning in guns, while supplies last.
Gift Card Amounts:
$25 - Non-functioning firearm
$100 - Shotgun or rifle (hunting)
$150 - Revolver
$150 - Semi-automatic handgun
$200 - Semi-automatic rifle
* while supplies last
Firearms without a serial number will not be accepted.
Participants will be asked to confirm that the guns being turned in were not stolen or used in a crime.
Bring your unloaded firearm(s) in the trunk of your car or bed of truck. A chop saw operator will disable the gun. Scrap metal from the firearms will be transformed into art pieces and garden tools by local artists and Indy Peace Fellows.
