Gardens for Wildlife – East Point Biodiversity Walk When: Saturday 2 May | 8:30 – 10:30am (walks starts at 8:45am)
Where: Meet at the start of the Monsoon Forest Trail, East Point Reserve (here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/4idGKnPX9tupU8uM9).
What: Join us for a morning walk through the East Point Monsoon Forest. Led by Tissa Ratnayeke – an experienced wildlife photographer, nature guide, and active member of the NT Field Naturalists' Club https://www.facebook.com/groups/ntfieldnaturalistsclub/ – we’ll explore the fascinating biodiversity of our local environment, learning all about the unique fauna, including insects and birds, as well as the plants that we spot along the way!
Register: This is a free session as part of City of Darwin’s Gardens for Wildlife program. All are welcome. Please register your attendance by selecting ‘going’ on the Facebook event
What to bring/wear:
• Water - bring plenty of water, water will not be provided and there are no bubblers on the trail
• Insect repellent - biting insects may be present so consider wearing repellent and covering up
• Sunscreen
• Suitable walking shoes - the walking trail is approx. 2.5km of flat, gravel track
• Hat
