Gardening from Scratch 6 week course- Roots & Shoots @The Alnwick Garden

Learn all the basics of gardening for food and wildlife in our new garden area in Roots & Shoots community garden .
About this Event

Join us to help create a new wildlife-friendly garden to grow food, herbs and flowers. We'll be based in the Roots and Shoots garden where there is a friendly atmosphere and good facilities for people of all abilities.

This is a series of sessions where we will meet weekly - steadily building the garden with hard landscaping, habitat creation, seed sowing, planting and harvesting - a range of skills for you to take away or help build a CV for job- seekers.

Most of the work will be outdoors, but if the weather is wet we have a polytunnel and community room.

Please bring stout shoes as the garden can be wet underfoot

Directions:

Roots & Shoots is signposted from the path connecting Greenwell Rd Car Parks to the Alnwick Garden main entrance, oppite the Dutchess Gate. Accessible for wheelchair users. Toilets and handwashing are available in the Community Room.
