New to gardening? This beginner-friendly seminar is the perfect place to dig in! Learn the basics of soil, sunlight, watering, and plant selection as you discover how to grow a healthy garden—no matter your space or experience. Whether you have a backyard, balcony, or just a few pots on a windowsill, you’ll leave with the knowledge and confidence to start your own green space from the ground up.

Ideal for anyone who is interested in getting into gardening or those who are having trouble with their current garden.

Presenter: Chad Shelby has been studying Horticulture since 2018. He completed his A.A.S. in Horticulture and is currently pursuing his B.S. in Agriculture Education. He has been the project manager for several pro bono projects, specifically ones that involve Non-Profits like the C.A.R.E Clinic and St. John’s Episcopal Church. His work includes The Staff Garden at the C.A.R.E. Clinic, Community Patriot Arts Connection Veteran’s Garden, and building the Daylily Garden at Cape Fear Botanical Garden.
