Gardening Alongside Wildlife

Gardening with wildlife can be challenging! In this presentation, Tess Moody explains how you can increase positive interactions and decrease negative interactions with wildlife in your personal space. Discover strategies for dealing with some of the most common species that cause concern in the South Carolina Lowcountry: armadillos, moles, snakes, and deer. There will be a lecture section and provide plenty of time for discussion, so have your questions ready!

Tess Moody works as a Natural Resources Associate for Clemson Cooperative Extension. Her time is divided between programming and program evaluation. Her favorite program topics are those that can help people feel more comfortable spending time outside, especially in their own yards, and help the natural environment at the same time. She has collegiate education in Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Health, and Nonformal Adult Education and is a South Carolina Master Naturalist. She also has extensive experience as a naturalist tour guide, environmental scientist, and researcher. In her personal life, she maintains an indoor garden full of tropical plants and a yard full of native plants.
