Maryland Extension Program Gardening 101 workshop series, designed especially for K-5 students! Kids will dive into the wonders of food gardening, explore the science of plants, and connect with nature—all while learning lifelong skills in a fun, hands-on way.
Learn the ABC's of gardening, from planting seeds to nurturing plants and harvesting. Explore nature up close, discovering how plants grow, the role of sunlight and water, and why soil is so important. Gain real-life skills through hands-on activities. Practice patience and responsibility as they care for their plants and watch them flourish. With the arrival of spring, there’s no better time for young learners to dig deep into a garden adventure that blends science, nature, and health.
