On July 25 (rain date of July 26 in the event of inclement weather), we're bringing back the Garden Walk to celebrate some of the beautiful outdoor spaces found throughout Blue Island! The Blue Island Historical Society is excited to partner with the Blue Island Arts Alliance and the Blue Island Forestry Board on this event, and the full list of locations will be released soon.
The event begins at the Albee House, where ticket holders will be given a map of Garden Walk locations. At 1 p.m., guests are free to visit participating gardens in any order they choose, with snacks, drinks, and other refreshments available along the way!
Artists will also be featured at Garden Walk locations, courtesy of the Blue Island Arts Alliance! Live music and art in several different mediums can be expected, with more details to be released as we get closer to the event.
Representatives from the Blue Island Forestry Board can be found at one of the participating locations as well - the Community Gardens at Memorial Park - with giveaways while supplies last!
