The inaugural event will feature a curated group of creatives sharing their writing, songs, and the stories behind them. We aim to present a series of exclusive evenings each season, highlighting both emerging and established artists in a small residential garden. Ticket sales go to featured artists, with books, records, and merch available for purchase and signings.
August 9th, we are beyond thrilled to feature two incredible co-headliners: musical artist Gatlin from Dualtone Records, and writer Nina LaCour, celebrating the release of her new novel MEET ME IN THE GARDEN ("a must-read that will resonate deeply with fans of Alice Walker and Brit Bennett" -Booklist).
A donation-based honor bar will provide light refreshments, with proceeds benefiting 50 Free Books. Guests are welcome to bring their own reusable water bottles to reduce waste. The event will conclude at 8pm, with plenty of great dinner & drink options just up the street.
The Garden Series is produced by local LA non-profit 50 Free Books, with support from A Good Used Book and local volunteers.
