Garden Revival, an outreach ministry of the Diocese of Trenton Catholic Charismatic Renewal, is pleased to announce a Pentecost Bi-lingual Prayer Room (Prayer Meeting) on Saturday, May 23, 2026, the Vigil of Pentecost.
This powerful evening of worship and encounter will take place under the Parish Tent at Saint Mary, Mother of God Church in Middletown, New Jersey.
The celebration of Pentecost will begin with the Vigil Mass at 5:00 p.m., celebrated by Father Jeff Kegley, Pastor of Saint Mary Parish and Diocesan Liaison to the Renewal. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will prepare hearts to receive a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit as the Church enters into the great feast of Pentecost.
Following Mass, all are invited to a festive Bar-B-Q, offering a joyful time of fellowship and community. This gathering reflects the life of the early Church, where believers came together not only for prayer, but also for shared meals and authentic communion with one another.
Sacred Scripture reminds us of the origin of this great feast: “When the time of Pentecost came they were all together in one place” (Acts 2:1). This Pentecost celebration seeks to recreate that same spirit of unity, expectation, and openness to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
The Bi-lingual Prayer Room will feature both Spanish and English worship music ministries, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere of praise. Prayer ministry teams from the Encounter School of Ministry (New Jersey campus) will be present to pray with attendees and facilitate a deeper encounter with the Lord.
The keynote talk, “The Baptism of the Holy Spirit,” will be presented by Garden Revival coordinator Ramil Caragay. In Catholic teaching, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is understood not as a new sacrament, but as a grace that releases and activates the power of the Holy Spirit already received through the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation. It is a personal awakening to God’s presence, empowering believers to live more fully as disciples of Jesus Christ, to exercise spiritual gifts, and to boldly proclaim the Gospel.
Mike Griggs, a member of the Garden Revival team, shares the vision behind the event: “Our hope for this Prayer Room is to experience again what took place in the Upper Room over 2,000 years ago—with a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit.” This desire reflects a growing hunger among the faithful for authentic encounters with God in prayer and worship.
Garden Revival hosts Prayer Rooms monthly, drawing participants from across the state of New Jersey. According to Matt Ross, coordinator of the Young Adult Group at Saint Mary’s, “There is a great excitement and draw among Generation Z, who flock to the monthly Prayer Room for anointed worship, teaching, witness talks, and deep fellowship.” All are welcome to attend this Pentecost Vigil celebration and experience the renewing power of the Holy Spirit.
