TTP’s Tarrant County Garden Growers Co-op March MeetingLaunch Your Own Liberty Garden!
With wars and rumors of wars escalating, 2026 is a good year to look back at how past generations faced even worse challenges with determination, skill, and commitment to community with the simple act of gardening!
During World War I, citizens cultivated Liberty Gardens, which changed to Victory Gardens during World War II. Millions of Americans participated, producing more than 40% of fresh produce in the U.S. to increase food security and foster self-sufficiency from a sense of civic duty.
Join us for a Liberty Garden Launch meeting and support a local small business too. Grow Wild Greenery is offering the lowest prices you’ll find, plus a 10% group discount off herbs, vegetables, flowers, and other garden goodies.
Let Diane Velasco know what you’d like to grow this season by February 25, and Grow Wild Greenery’s owner Kimberly Miller will special order it at a discount. We can share 20-count trays of various vegetables or herbs based on what members plan to add to their gardens this year.
For newcomers, our Garden Growers Co-op meetings are informal times of sharing, so they’re great opportunities for new and experienced gardeners to get together, learn from each other, make friends and have fun! Our purpose is food freedom—gaining greater independence from corporations for our food. We hope you’ll join us!
