GROW ME STEAD! Join us for a guided walk to learn how to identify garden escapees and discover native plants that make great alternatives.
About this Event

Many invasive plants found in Ontario's natural areas began as garden plants. During this guided walk, participants will learn how to identify common garden escapees such as goutweed, periwinkle, and honeysuckle, understand their impacts on local ecosystems, and explore how to manage them. Participants will also learn about non-invasive garden plant alternatives that support pollinators, wildlife, and healthy ecosystems in a more sustainable way.

Whether you're a gardener, grower, or simply interested in native plants and conservation, this event is a great opportunity to learn how your planting choices can help protect Ontario's natural landscapes.
