GameDays are the events where we get together and play various games. You're also welcome and you can check each event for spots at games - it's in general free to participate, although we do charge for drinks, snacks and food (if we make that) and we also have a couple of our Gamedays that's turned in to fundraisers... :-)
There's always going to be TTRPG's, sometimes some people will arrange board games and other times some will arrange social deduction games (like Blood on the Clocktower). In 2025 we also want to see if it's possible for us to run our first LARP. More about that later. :-)
We're open from 10:00 until 22:00. If there are games for it. That requires Game Masters, so please contact us if you would like to be a Game Master for a game or a campaign. Earlier, we also had CampaignDays, but these are joined with the GameDays, so you can book rooms for both one shot scenarios and for campaign play. As well as board games, social deduction games and/or LARPs and other nerdy activities as needed.
Normally people either book a room from 10:00-16:00, from 16:00-22:00 or from 10:00-22:00 (full day booking for long games). But you can also book rooms for less than 6 hours or for a long session that doesn't quite go 12 hours. It's up to you.
We ask that you, as a Game Master, will make sure that your group will clean your room (and the kitchen, if used) after use, that you're willing to have one in your group provide photos of the room before and especially after (to document to Folkestedet that we left the rooms in good order) and that you in general take very good care of Folkestedet and are nice and helpful towards others, not only other participants in the GameDays but also other people at Folkestedet.
As a GM, you'll be able to get into the rooms an hour early (at 8:00) to set up, and the game can also drag on (until 24:00), unless something else is specified. :-D
The rooms we aspire to have (it's not always possible) are:
0.3 - a large, open room with loads of tables and chairs, 2 glass walls and its own exit to the outdoors
0.4 - a good and large creative creation room on the ground level near the kitchen and the waiting hall with an exit to the outdoors as well
0.5 - a small room right next to the kitchen with a single window
0.6 - same size room as 0.5 but with two windows and located near the waiting hall and the old stairs leading up to the upper floors
2.1 - the computer room in the attic (second floor), complete with creaking floors and exposed ceiling beems, this room has 6 windows in totzl
Unfortunately room 1.7 will be turned into offices in 2025 and is no longer available for booking. It might be available for the first few months of 2025 but no more than that

Besides that there are five (perhaps six) bathrooms, three kitchens and a kitchenette (in conjunction with room 2.1) available to use.
The main objective is to meet, play some games and have fun. Sometimes we elevate the events, sometimes there's visitors from galaxies or shires far away, and sometimes we'll see if we can arrange for dinner for all (those who want some) and so on, but mainly we supply the rooms and a chance to buy drinks and snacks at reasonable prices! :-)
We need your help to be Game Masters. Without you, no games. But we also need for you to participate in the games that's being set up. Without participants, no fun!
We also have a lot of TTRPG-books by now and have many of the larger (and some small) system's rulebooks at Folkestedet as well as a printer, battlemats, pens for the battlemats, whiteboard markers (not to be used on the battlemats), several (6) bluetooth speakers, dice (at least 150 different sets), pens and paper and so on available to loan for games. And more will follow... :-D
