Can videogames be poems? Come to SKOKS and find out! Experimental game maker Jordan Magnuson presents a collection of tiny, unusual videogames, or "game poems," that prioritize reflection over speed, and symbolism over spectacle. Most can be played through in less than five minutes, and no gaming skills are required. Stay for the masterclass afterwards and learn how to make tiny expressive games for yourself, no game development experience necessary.

Jordan Magnuson is a long-time creator of experimental videogames, and author of the book, Game Poems: Videogame Design as Lyric Practice. He is particularly interested in exploring how videogames can express human experience in poetic and culturally resonant ways, and in championing game creation as an inclusive and accessible form of creative expression. You can find out more about Jordan's work at JordanMagnuson.com.
The event is a part of Nordic Multimedia Poetry Festival's program, 17–19 Oct.
