Game of Terps - A song of tight calls and theory.

It’s time to rally the banners with your debate partner and tackle 5 action-packed rounds of loose-link, opp-flex debates in UMD’s Game of Terps Case Tournament! The tournament will take place Friday (March 28th) to Saturday (March 29th). Reg is due March 21st.

We are currently imposing a flexible team cap at 25.

Judging:
Our judge director will be Christopher O’Keeffe. We will be enforcing a strict (n-1)/2 rounded up judging obligation. Judges must commit to at least 3 in-rounds to count towards your school’s judge requirement. We will charge for missing judges ($75 per missing judge) and we will have to break up teams from schools that do not meet their judge requirements!

Our Tournament Director (including housing and food) is Vasiley Syomin.
Our Tab Directors will be Thomas Dragovich, Jack Beery, and Aayush Bhargava, and our Tab Observer is Dominic DeRamo. The tournament will have open ranks and CLOSED speaks. The tournament is closed.

Judge deliberation will be capped at 15 minutes.
Reg:
We will be charging a $150 registration fee per team. For financial inquiries, please contact our VP of Finance, Judicael Tchoudja, at [email protected]. This includes requests for reg swaps/breaks. Reg is due Monday, March 21st at 11:59pm! If a team drops the Wednesday before the tournament you will be charged a $60 drop fee.
