G.A.M.E. Night - High School

Games And Meaningful Experiences (G.A.M.E.) Night - High School is a social gaming program for teens 14 - 17 whose excessive screen use has resulted in fewer opportunities to socialize in person. We explore a different common social experience each week as a small group, and then we play a curated board game or video game that makes that topic fun to play with and practice. Teens consistently feel better after each session and report loving this format of learning.

Screens have become increasingly ubiquitous for entertainment, information, and socialization, which means less face to face time across all three. G.A.M.E. Night immerses gamers in a fun environment where they feel safe to socialize and grow through self-reflection.

G.A.M.E. Night is developed by lifelong gamer Dr. Patrick O'Connor, a former therapist for teens who has taught in higher education for over 12 years.
